My Business 1
My Business 1 Training is applicable to anyone who (1) wants to start a business but doesn’t know how, or (2) already has a business and wants to improve their business.
The training is designed to strengthen informal, small and formal businesses through simple and applicable business tools to create personal and business budgets, track sales and savings, analyse the profit and loss, manage time and opportunity, structure planning and resources, generate income through skills, increase profit and sustainability.
Training typically runs over a production season of about 6 months.
Participants of all ages are able to quickly start business activities or to improve their businesses, with what they already have, at their own pace and based on their own dreams, using simple and powerful business tools to realize their vision.
Umsizi mentors each participant personally during the programme, and through the business support networks which are established for post-programme support and monitoring.

Our My Business 2 Micro-MBA course for emerging small businesses
About 190 000 emerging entrepreneurs in the micro and small-business sectors have been educated in this way over the past 28 years. The course requires the equivalent of grade 6 literacy, but illiterate people are encouraged to bring a literate friend or family-member with them to the course.
Umsizi facilitates accredited Micro-MBA training over 6 – 8 months and facilitates the application of the lessons on a practical level in the daily business functions. Each module will be covered in a half-day workshop.
